"You will learn some tips on how to implement UX in a limited time frame".
--Detailed Description
For well over a decade the term 'User Experience (UX)' has been synonymous with 'Web Design' and 'Usability' has been applied largely to websites. But User Experience principles have so much to offer to a variety of industries and professions - it shouldn't be bound by a single industry or walled off in a separate department. At its core, UX is simply a way of solving business problems. Join Ben Woods as he provides a series of case studies and examples of UX making contributions in new frontiers.
Ben Woods has worked on digital and interactive projects since 1999 and is the Manager of UX at Eaton (http://www.eaton.com/Eaton/index.htm), where he leads usability, UX design, and web analytics for eaton.com, customer portals, the employee intranet, and other customer-facing digital tools. He is also an adjunct instructor at Kent State's UXD program (https://www.kent.edu/slis/uxd). Ben holds a BFA in Visual Communication Design, an MS in Information Architecture and Knowledge Management, both from Kent State University; and an MBA from the Weatherhead School of Management (https://weatherhead.case.edu/) at Case Western Reserve University.
