UX Budapest, Frontend Meetup Budapest & Craft presents: Meetup Evening 2015

Details

[Angol nyelvű meetup]

This April we follow up with last years' practice and present you a special edition meetup and take part in the Meetup Evening as a warmup event for the Craft Conference (http://craft-conf.com/2015). We will be honoured to host Amber Case (@caseorganic (https://twitter.com/caseorganic)) and Katarzyna Mrowca (@mrowcakasia (https://twitter.com/mrowcakasia)) as speakers - you can read about the topics they bring us in detail below.

The meetup talks will start from 6:00PM sharp, so don't be late! And after the talks it's pizza-time. ;)

We are co-hosting our event with Frontend Meetup Budapest, so when all the seats are gone over here you can check their event (https://www.meetup.com/Frontend-Meetup-Budapest/events/221837731/) as well. No double RSVP needed! If you are checked in either to our event or theirs you are good to go. Please be so kind and take the RSVP seriously this time. Thanks!

Featured speakers and topics:

[Cancelled] Amber Case: A Programmatic Approach to Perfect Happines

Update (2015-04-22): unfortunately Amber Case will not be able to make it to the Meetup Evening. However you will be able to catch her at the conference itself.

Katarzyna Mrowca: How to defeat feature gluttony

Feature gluttony is a common sin among IT projects. Customers deliver never ending wish list of features they want. However, the key is not to build everything, but only things that are really needed. Learn how to defeat feature gluttony by:

  • setting common aim
  • defining most important use cases
  • defining critical process from the business perspective
  • decide what should be delivered first
… and build excellent piece of software :)

Jozsef Czapovics: Go out and suck it up!

Hashtagcharity (http://hashtagcharity.org/) is an endeavour to connect non-profit organizations with tech professionals for the best of causes. Jozsef Czapovics, Director of Engineering at Prezi, Founder and CEO of Hashtagcharity will introduce this awesome project to us, and how taking several deep breaths took them to an eventual launch.
