March Potluck Dinner and Annual Election Meeting

Join us on Saturday the 9th at 6:30 for our March potluck. This meetup will also serve as our official membership meeting for the 2013 elections of officers. The Vegetarian Network of Austin is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, with a body of dues-paying Directors, and managed by a Board of Officers.

The officer positions that are open this year are our Chairman and our Events Director. We are looking for people interested in filling these roles. Both positions are relatively simple to handle (despite their highly official-sounding titles). The Chairman simply acts as the facilitator during our monthly board meetings (more like a moderator than an executive), while the Events Director plans the when, where and other details for our group's potlucks, restaurant visits and other activities.

As for the potluck... we're very relaxed and informal, and we welcome everyone, including families, children, new vegetarians and vegans, the "veg-curious"... you actually don't have to be vegetarian at all, we welcome omnivores. Our potlucks are free for anyone to attend, you don't have to be a VNA member.

Please bring a VEGAN dish that can serve 8 plus a serving utensil, as well as your own plate, utensils, and beverage. Also bring your recipe or a list of ingredients to help those with food sensitivities.

Come enjoy some great vegan food, meet up with old and new friends, and learn about what you can do to get involved with the VNA's future!
