MISS LIBERTY: A FILM WHOSE TIME HAS COME
If you're in the New York City area and would like to be invited to a FUNdraising party to take place in a glorious gallery space in Chelsea, please email compassionconsortium@gmail.com letting us know and we'll send you a formal invitation via Paperless Post.
An Introduction by Ingrid Newkirk, Founder and President of PETA:
ien_ms_liberty_speech_peta.mp4Miss Liberty, a feature film created by Rev. William Melton and written by Rev. William and Victoria Moran, is currently in development. It's the engaging story of how the escape from a slaughterhouse of one used-up dairy cow changes lives and affects a community. It's pure, engaging entertainment for families. The time has come for a you-get-the popcorn kind of movie focused on a single dairy cow, mooing for other 270 million of them––and for a film that draws attention to other problems in the meat industry, such as worker treatment and safety.
This is a movie that won’t alienate omnivores, but rather awaken every viewer to a wrong they just might want to see set right.
We’d love to have you on our team, in our family. For more information visit our website Miss Liberty the Movie, regarding the current development status of the film, steps for moving forward, and how you can help. The Compassion Consortium is the 501c3 nonprofit partner of Miss Liberty, meaning that your donations to the development of the film are fully tax-deductible. In addition, thanks to a welcome foundation grant, all donations are matched, dollar for dollar, up to $100,000.

- COMPASSION CONSORTIUM: JUNE 16 ANIMAL CHAPLAIN ORDINATION AND GUEST DR. FEINMANLink visible for attendees
Join us for a very special Sunday Service on June 16 to honor our emerging Animal Chaplain cohort. Our celebration will feature their creative interspecies practices and will honor their achievements in creating frameworks for increasing compassionate service for animals and humans who care for and protect them. Please come support this amazing group, nicknamed the Green Wood Dragons due to their emerging during this auspicious year of 2024.
As this date coincides with Father's Day, we will be honoring "Dads of the Animal Kingdom" within the service, too. So, if you are a Dad or would like to invite your Dad, or you aren't a Dad but you engage in fathering others, we'll be celebrating you, too!
ABOUT ANIMAL CHAPLAINCY TRAINING
Animal chaplains provide support for both animals and humans by using the tools of deep listening and caring companionship. We help people create habits that help animals thrive, and which integrate a human companion’s unique secular or spiritual views.
So, the more chaplains understand about the world’s cultures, religions, philosophies, and spiritual traditions, the better we can understand other beings we coexist with and seek to support.
Compassion Consortium’s advanced certificate program helps you go deeper into cultural competency while increasing your toolbox of communication skills to use with both humans and animals through monthly in-class practice sessions on core chaplaincy skills.
Contemplative homework focuses on exploring practices, ceremonies, and rituals inspired by different spiritual and wisdom traditions in order to grow and practice your ability to be a healing presence in any cultural or professional context.
Real-time classes via Zoom include chaplaincy practicums to deepen your skills with others. This program meets 1x per month. To learn more, visit Animal Chaplaincy Training | Compassion Consortium
