About us

We are a community of like hearted beings who come together to practice mindfulness in order to take care of ourselves, nourish happiness, and contribute to building a healthier and a more compassionate society. 
While Red Robin Sangha Cork draws its inspiration from the Zen Buddhist teachings of Thich Nhat Hanh, our community is focused on practice and not on beliefs or ideology. We are open to all who hold an aspiration to transform themselves and contribute to a more healthy and compassionate society. We honour the unique roots of every individual and you can join as a Buddhist, Christian, Hindu, Jew, or Muslim as well as an agnostic, atheist or member of any other religious or spiritual grouping.

To cover the costs of room rental we ask for donations from attendees. In Buddhist tradition is called Dana.
Suggested donation is €5 to €10 euro.

In the stillness of winter's end, there's a particular quality to the light—softer, more hopeful. The earth is dreaming of emergence. And perhaps you are too.
This retreat is an invitation to honor your own quiet unfolding. To pause. To tend the conditions for renewal. To awaken—not once, but moment by moment—to the aliveness already present within you.
OUR MORNING TOGETHER:
We'll gather for four hours of gentle, grounding practice:
🧘‍♀️ Opening meditation & mindful movement to awaken body and awareness
🍇 Mindful eating practice—a beautiful, practical gift for daily life
🌳 Walking meditation in nature, connecting with the earth's renewal
💚 Compassion meditation & reflection, cultivating tenderness for ourselves as spring requires tenderness
🌸 Loving-kindness infused body relaxation to close, leaving you feeling deeply held and cared for
Throughout our time together, poetry and song will accompany us—the language of the soul speaking what words alone sometimes cannot.

🍜NOURISHMENT FOR BODY & SOUL:
You'll be offered lovingly prepared, homemade snacks made with fresh, seasonal ingredients. This isn't just refreshment—it's part of tending yourself with the same care and attention we're bringing to our inner landscape.

📓WHAT YOU'LL CARRY FORWARD:
Beyond the peace and presence of the morning itself, you'll leave with practical tools: the mindful eating practice, compassion meditation techniques, and a deeper trust in your own capacity for renewal—practices that continue to nourish long after the retreat ends.
