Paddle boarding and canoeing. This place is a gem with Beautiful scenery up Ogden Canyon, all the way to the reservoir! One of my all time favorites! Calm waters, some small canyons on water, plenty of sunshine and even a little cliff jumping too if you’re adventurous. Good vibes. I know you don’t want to miss this event!
There are many places to rent paddle boards or canoes locally - are relatively inexpensive, I recommend renting the day before- if you don’t have one. Meet at 8:30 am at Smiths Grocery store parking lot (right off Harrison Blvd and 12th street-Odgen) on northern east end of the lot,at the mouth of the canyon. We will head up canyon around 8:45-9am. This way we can keep our group together. If you are willing to drive/carpool from Smiths up to reservoir this is recommended as there is little parking at the reservoir.
Bring sunscreen, food or snacks for your self, water, hat, sunglasses, life vest, water shoes. Please be on time and update RSVP if you are unable to attend.
Once we head up the canyon it will be difficult to communicate via cell phone in the canyon, as I will be driving and on the water. Please be responsible and respectful. No lifegaurd on duty! 😊
