Hiking at Pinnacles National Monument

This is a strenuous hike, not for beginners!

We will hike the Chalone Peak Trail which is the highest point in the park, great views of the surrounding valleys. We will explore one or two of the caves, bring your headlights or flashlight.

Distance: about 12 miles.
Time: 6 hours
Elevation gain: 2,100 ft.

Bring water, lunch and snack, headlights and flashlights and warm clothes and other hiking equipment.

Park entrance fee per vehicle: $5.00
This fee covers entrance by vehicle to both districts of the monument for seven days, and is valid for everyone in the vehicle.

Carpool is recommended, please let others know you are driving or need a ride.
