Okay, no major weather catastrophe last year, so we're on for another year! Four years ago, we had that freak snowstorm at the end of October, so only a few very hardy souls made it to this event. Then three years ago, Superstorm Sandy hit the day after our pumpkin carving extravaganza. Last year and the year before all was quiet, so hopefully this will be another uneventful year in terms of the weather!!

Because I love Halloween, we're hosting a pot luck brunch at our house in October! In addition, bring your own pumpkin and we'll have a pumpkin carving event as well. We have a selection of pumpkin carving tools and patterns, but feel free to bring your own if you have them! We end up with some pretty impressive pumpkins each year, so you might want to consider researching a pumpkin design online!

We have to limit this to the first 27 people who sign up. If we end up with a waiting list, and you find that you won't be able to make it, please be considerate and change your RSVP once you know you can't make it.

If you'll post a comment on this page so everyone can see who's bringing what, it will make it easier to coordinate. If you have a suggestion of something else you'd like to bring, post that as well. Here are some general things people can bring:

Juice

Bottled water

Bagels

Lox

Muffins

Cream cheese

Fruit

Eggs

Quiche

Bottle of Champagne if anyone wants Mimosa's

Or anything else you'd like, just post it below so we know what's coming :D

As we get closer to the date, we'll e-mail those attending our address and home phone number. The A&P is usually a good place to get a good, yet inexpensive pumpkin :D Some places charge by the pound, which can get a little pricey.
