Internationally acclaimed guitarist Giuliano Modarelli takes us through a journey of pure Hindustani classical music to the contemporary. Looking at the role of the guitar within Indian Classical music and how he has adapted his style of playing, Guiliano showcases his versatility as a musician. The zer0classikal project, a partnership between zer0culture and Collage Arts continues to offer a radical approach to south Asian classical music, aiming to provide British trained musicians the voice and platform to explore what their identity brings to the ‘ancient’ musical genre. Karamel hosts the project with a monthly programme featuring artists willing to push the boundaries of South Asian classical music.
