Concert with Al Firdaus - Sufi Chants from Andalusia

On Friday 22nd January 2016 LAFZ will be holding a concert of Sufi Music at St John’s, Smith Square, one of the world’s foremost concert halls for classical music, to celebrate the Mawlid.
In keeping with the nature of the occasion, the "Al Firdaus Ensemble" will be entertaining our audience, which will, we hope, include those interested in Sufi music, possibly even those hearing it for the first time, as well as readers of our magazine and those who have attended our earlier concerts.
The Firdaus Ensemble are based in Andalusia and their music is a fusion of both Oriental and Western influences, from European classical to Celtic folksong to Middle Eastern.
We believe that this fusion of East and West is particularly relevant to our audiences who have their roots in South Asia, the Middle East and beyond.
