  Milo Milivojevi

  Kosmos Ensemble

Vibrant, innovative  Kosmos trio joined by international prize-winning accordionist Milos Milivojevic  explore the boundaries of Western Classical and Contemporary and World music through Arabic, Gypsy, Balkan, Jazz, Klezmer and Tango.

Internationally acclaimed string trio Kosmos unites the rich texture of the string trio with the depth and integrity of traditional music from the Balkans and beyond. With their inspiring fusion of folk music traditions from around the world, sophisticated jazz glides magically into wild gypsy fiddling, emotive Jewish music into hot-blooded Tango, free improvisation into Arabic melody. Kosmos plays without manuscript, enabling the music to live and breathe in the moment. These world-class, classically trained musicians present an awesome line-up prepare to be intoxicated by entrancing dance rhythms, soulful improvisation and Gypsy passion delivered with inimitable panache and virtuoso technique.

Milo Milivojevi

Serbian born accordionist Milo Milivojevi is a first prizewinner at International Competitions in Germany , France , Italy and Denmark . In July 2007 he became the first accordionist ever to win the RAM Club Prize at the Royal Academy of Music.. Milo has performed in venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, St John Smith Square, St Martin in the Fields and St James Piccadilly Hall.

Milivojevics artistry on the humble button accordion took the breath away indeed, his coruscating transcription of an organ chorale by Mendelssohn made one almost wonder whether we actually need those thundering giants. Id put money on this brilliant young performer opening a whole range of new musical worlds Michael Church, The Independent, March 2008
