Huntington Trails Ribbon Cutting Ceremony & Pack Walk

Details
To celebrate the grand opening of Huntington’s 4 on-leash dog walking trails there will be a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 10 am at the Dix Hills Park. We'll start with a welcome and brief remarks from LI-DOG, Huntington elected officials and the head of the Huntington Trails Committee. Then, we’ll stretch a ribbon across the trail-head and with our fellow dog owners and their dogs looking on, we’ll cut it - so take out those cameras :) What better way to show our appreciation than to have a Pack Walk following the Ribbon Cutting Ceremony at 11 am.
We will be walking the Woodland Trail which is about 2 miles around the perimeter of the park. The walk will take about 1 hr. and there are a few areas to opt-out for those who want a shorter walk. At the trail-head, we’ll have our LI-Dog table set up with dog cookies and water. We’ll also have free copies of the Huntington Trails Guide, which is a really nice, comprehensive guide to trails in Huntington.
Should be a great event and we hope to see you there, showing your support for LI-Dog and their efforts.
