Join me for a hike in one of my favorite hiking
places. This area is full of shade, compliments of the prolific oaks, sycamores and other wild trees. This hike will take us along a stream that is teaming with life, including crayfish, frogs, fish, and other aquatic life.
If you've been on my other more desert like Hike, this one is far removed from that, so includes a whole new list of flora.
We'll explore this abundant, full of life area and you'll be able to sample some of the wild foods as well as learn how to use them for tools and medicine, just like the Native Americans.

You'll be surprised at the uses many of the plants and trees you come in contact with on a daily basis have.

What others are saying:
Great plant walk, Alan. Thanks so much for the great information in both identifying useful and problem plants. I loved it and can't wait for another season to see these plants in a different stage. Very well done. 5 Stars from me!
I was not able to attend but my sons Dustin and Garrett came and had a great time. I have been teaching them but there's always techniques to learn and they tell me Alan was a great teacher.
Outstanding! Thank you Alan for another great adventure!

This was a great class. The information we received was so excellent. Thank you Alan, you are a real community resource.
Fantastic group! Nice way to spend a morning with cool people learning about the plants and their uses. I can spot tobacco plants, Yerba Santa, horse weed, california pepper, buckwheat, currants, yucca and know what I can do with them. Thanks guys!
