For those of you looking to get out of the city or the burbs, this group is for you! Our main activity will be hiking. We'll also try and squeeze in some biking, skiing and casual laziness under the sun or by a fire.
Instead of being a group where 1 or 2 people organize a bunch of events, I want this group to have a bunch of organizers who organize events occasionally. I think it will make for a more interesting group. Please let me know if you have any interest in organizing or helping to organize something. It can be just about anything as long as it's safe and legal.
If you'd like to join, please take a minute to tell us something about you and why you want to join. Also please post a picture of yourself or your favorite place.

This will be an 8 mile hike in Norvin Green State Forest in northern NJ. You can check out a few pictures here.
We'll stop for a lunch at Chikahoki Falls which should look pretty cool if the temperature is below freezing. There will also be plenty of ups and downs that will give us some great views.
This will be a fairly challenging hike because of the weather and terrain and won't be suitable for everyone. Read more
