What we’re about
Amnesty International USA Washington, DC Chapter supports Amnesty International USA's vision of a world in which every person enjoys the rights enshrined in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights and other international human rights instruments. We organize events? such as concerts, protests and vigils? that raise awareness of human rights violations and inform the public about what can be done to oppose these violations. We also advocate on behalf of prisoners of conscience and other victims of human rights violations at every meeting by participating in Amnesty's ongoing urgent action letter writing campaign.
The Groups of the Washington DC Chapter meet on the second Wednesday of the month in Cleveland Park and on various days in Capitol Hill, SE, DC.
