MEETUP for ONE CITY! Third Sundays 12:30PM in Wash. DC, FREE, All are welcome!

Details
Meet people who care about Washington DC including social entrepreneurs, "changemakers", investors, innovators, advocates and people of diverse backgrounds who have been inspired by Mayor Vincent Gray's vision of Washington D.C. as ONE CITY!
Come together for followup conversations to stay in touch and working together to bridge cultural, digital and other divides! There will be a round of self introductions to the entire group. In the past about 50 to 80 people have attended these events each month. People can sit at different tables for conversations over lunch (free admission and networking; self-pay for food you order).
The first step is to get to know each other better to see if we are ready to work together harmoniously with appreciation, forgiveness and understanding. These monthly community events provide opportunities to build trust, develop more community allies and to connect with others interested in similar topics. Express your interest to the co-organizers and followup if you please. EXPECT THE UNEXPECTED!
WHEN: 12:30PM TO 2:30PM on the third Sundays of each month, same time and place.
The content is spontaneously provided by the participants who show up at each event. You will have a chance to introduce ourself to the entire group if you wish. Many wonderful outcomes have resulted from these informal networking and Conversations for ONE CITY! Invite your new contacts to meet you at https://www.meetup.com/onecity Join the fun in making new contacts in a friendly, welcoming and happy context!
DIRECTIONS: When you exit the METRO station (red line) at Gallery Place/Chinatown metro station, you will see the Friendship Archway monument which was co-developed with the city back in 1986 as a call for friendship and better understanding among people of all backgrounds. One way to build ONE CITY is to come together in person when you can or participate in discussion board here and in other meetup.com groups co-sponsored by the Friendship Archway Network and A.B.C. We look forward to connect with you and your friends!

We thank the ongoing training opportunities of the Strategic Partnership Initiative (SPI) under the leadership of Lafayette Barnes and Pat Henry. We appreciate the outstanding leadership of Mayor Vincent Gray who saved Chinatown DC by his critical legislative leadership to help shape the future of DC's Chinatown as a Asian American destination. He achieved this while he was Chairman of the City Council before he became Mayor of DC. We appreciate many extraordinary and dedicated DC government officials including Allen Y. Lew, Gilles A. E. Stucker, Tonya Butler-Truesdale, Patricia Zingsheim, Dory Peters, Thor Nelson and the many talented professionals in the Office of Planning under the talented leadership of Director Harriet Tregoning.
