Thanks to those that have replied to come to the Meetup tomorrow on such short notice! Everyone is still invited, and a head count would still be helpful so I can plan accordingly. If you can make it, please try to let me know.
Let's meet at 1:00 PM at the HEB Central Market on the corner of Westheimer and Weslayan (inside the loop). There is an area upstairs that should be good for us. If you enter through the doors on the right (facing the market), there is a stairway just to the left after you enter. Optionally, there is an outdoor stairway above that same entrance. Upstairs, and inside, you will find a couple of tables used typically for eating, and they are in an area that overlooks the inside of the market. We'll be able to meet there, no matter what the weather is for tomorrow.
The topics will include:
1. The unfortunate state of mind of our legislative government, and some of the laws that are being proposed to end the use of supplements. For example, I recently heard that one of the forms of vitamin B6 has been banned by the FDA as a supplement. I also understand that there is legislation pending in the next week or two that will limit the use of supplements, outlawing many over-the-counter forms that we enjoy and use today. Is the government trying to protect us, or the pharmaceutical companies? What is your opinion?
2. The format, topics, time and location for our meetings each month.
3. Ways to use the group to successfully network to allow everyone to learn about the products and supplements that are available, and how these can benefit our health. This includes how to be a knowledgeable consumer, and a savvy supplier.
If you can't make it to the meeting, and want to voice your opinion on any of these topics, reply back to me before the meeting so I can take your responses to the group.
You will be able to find me, as I will have a sign on the table with "AHNS" on it, and my picture is on the website.
I'm looking forward to meeting those that can attend.
