Recently, the Angelika Theater in downtown Houston offered a free viewing of Food, Inc. Unfortunately, I don't think anyone had a chance to view it. BUMMER...
But don't despair. They are bringing it back again, albeit you may have to pay this time.
On June 26th, they will be showing the film, Food, Inc. again at the Angelika Theater.
The film is about the quality of our food supplies and the long term affect it has on our health. One important point, that I don't think is emphasized enough: Every time we buy something at the store, we are voting to keep that item on the shelf! Watch the film and see what we have been voting for...
Gee! You mean we might not have to take so many supplements just to stay reasonably healthy? LOL
OK, enough with my silly sarcasm, and watch the film and then see what you think...

You can also find out more about the movie and film times at the same link.
Unfortunately, I will be out of town. If anyone makes it to the movie, possibly they can let me know. We can discuss it at one of our meetings, or have an online discussion if enough people get to watch it. When it comes out on DVD, possibly we could watch it as a group?
PS - Some of you have responded about next months meeting, but only a few yet. Some have requested a different day/time, and some say it is OK as suggested. If you haven't comment to me yet, please let me know if July 19th at 2:00 PM is the best time and day for you. One option might be a Wednesday or Thursday evening, but so far, the majority is Sunday at 2PM. I will pick a time and day best for the majority. The topic will be the flu pandemic, and we might try to discuss the proposed new Texas laws on supplements.
