What we’re about
A group for (English language) writers in love with the written word. For now we're concentrating on fiction writing: short stories or novel excerpts. We meet roughly twice a month to inspire, motivate and exchange ideas. Our meetups are usually in the form of write-ins (a way of getting those words on the page and overcoming writer’s block in the company of fellow sufferers) or critique sessions (where selected members submit manuscripts and receive feedback from others). And afterwards we always make a beeline for the bar ...
Ah, and one more thing: perhaps unlike most other meetup groups, we’re not interested in augmenting our numbers so much as in building a close-knit community of writers of English fiction willing to invest in each other’s work while benefiting from regular social contact and feedback from other writers. All active writers of English fiction are welcome, but you’re likely to be deleted from the list if you remain inactive for 2 years or more. On the other hand we’d gladly have you back whenever you feel like rejoining and participating!
