Study Jam - Session 1

Join us for a series of community organised study groups around the Google Udacity course which offer participants the opportunity to receive free, in-person guidance and tutoring. The goal of the event is to support as many students as possible in completing the course, thereby raising the technical level of the community.

Session 1 - Introduction
Overview of the three Study Jam Sessions

Tips & Tricks on completing the Udacity Course
Overview of the main programming tasks of the course

Session 2 - Online O&A
Open online session aimed at answering any questions generated from completing the first part of the course.

Session 3 - In person Q&A
Hands on help on solving the main programming tasks
Overview of the 3 lessons of the Udacity Course.

Recommended Audience:

Those new to programming
Those with programming experience who have never used Android.

Abstract: Join us for an interactive session where you will get an overview of the 3 Study Jam Sessions and a better understanding of the Udacity Course. In addition to this, David will go through a series of tips & tricks on how to complete the course and how to go through the main programming tasks.

Speaker: David Gonzales

David works at Novoda, and has been using the Android platform since 2009. He's actively involved in the Android community, and co-organises Londroid. He enjoys public speaking and loves sharing his experiences through conferences, blog posts and open source libraries. At Novoda, David helps startups and companies produce highly desirable and quality products, by following agile methodologies; a skilled development process; and always going the extra mile. When he's not coding, you'll find David running through Regent's canal in London, cycling, or cooking a delicious meal at home.
