Logging and Exception handling Best practices

Real world fails - Kostas Polychronis, Chief Software Engineer, Bugsense

How are you managing errors - Group chat communal session curated by Kevin McDonagh, CEO, Novoda.

When you are releasing a build what exception handling should it go to market with? Should you declare global exception handlers? What is the min/max logging you should include in the app?

Unfortunately, it wasn't quite what I expected tonight.
The first presentation was via Skype and held a lot of promise, but call quality was quite limited, probably due to the number of techies using the free wifi.
But for some reason I was expecting a demonstration on how perform logging and debugging in the most effective manner.

Maybe a talk for another day.

The group chat was interesting, if some of it was a little tricky to follow for noobs.

It was great to be at the meetup this evening! It would like to learn more about the best practices - hence I;m looking for examples of well formatted or useful log files, well written programs that log messages sensibly, strike a balance between too much and too little.

The website is So I am just looking for any feedback on what is there at the moment - is the message clear? is it apparent what it does? etc. The website still not very aesthetically pleasing. If anyone has opinions good/bad.please do tell.
