Subject: Re: [londroid] Recipe app statistics
Thank you all for your suggestions.
Was helpful. I would like to ask you one last question. Is there a way (or known proportion) to derive a good guess of the estimate number of downloads based on the number of user ratings of an App in the iPhone market and Android market? I would like to break down the question in smaller ones to try find a formula to get a good guess:
- For example, Jimie Oliver's app has about 1.500 user ratings (considering all version). What's your guess of number of downloads?
- I find quiet striking the difference between the number of user ratings of the Android app "All the cooks" (about 7.500) and the iPhone App of Jimie Oliver. Is it because of the price difference? Or do user in the Android market tend to vote more? What's your experience?
- Is there any of you that published the same App in both markets and has figures on the number of downloads and ratings for both?
- Is there any difference in number of ratings according to the category of App (e.g. game, cooking, utility)?
Would be helpful if you could share any information about the number of rating and downloads of any app that you published.
