Upcoming devices hackathon - now with hog roast

From: Kevin

Hello, courtesy of Adfonic: we now have a full Hog Roast and then Breakfast in the morning! Hoorah! :)

Why this hackathon is different

This is not Cadburys or Google or any big name paying an event. The only monies are going towards food from the lovely Adfonic. By and large this is just a bunch of HACKERS like the old days before we got into an escalating arms race of prizes. That means we are getting together for the sole purpose of learning. There are no speed boats or luxury hampers offered as prizes. The most you should hope for is learning from the best and brightest in London. Instead this hackathon is emphasising large teams, lots of hands and knowledge contributing towards a small hack. The aim is not the hack in itself, but the learning. There will be no 'winners' but many different hacks and together as a group we will seek to help evangelise the individual learnings and successes of the different teams.

Please bring stuff!

You are from a mixture of backgrounds. I'm a software guy but I'll be bringing along some boards, tools,  bits and bobs from Novoda use within our own team or the team next to us. We won't have much to share about so if you can bring some bits and bobs you are willing to team up with people and share that would be awesome.

Why this hackathon is awesome

I've tried to reach outside of our community for this hackathon. Not just Androiders but hardwarey people as well. I've asked at the internet of things meetup, arduino, the london hackspace and I'm hoping a few of their numbers will turn up. Android is only one part of the interconnected future come and find out about the other parts!
