Dear Debbie,

Our 70 disabled, blind and old shelter dogs who were once rescues but now are permanent Animal Aid family members, have all been brought over, one by one, to our new site in a whirlwind of a day! From carrying the unsuspecting little angels from the old hospital into the ambulance and through the gates of their new home, they have been fabulously patient and calm troopers.

Being together with their old friends just as before, stress and confusion has been minimal and they are busy exploring and playing in their new turf which you will see in the above video.

It's been poignant to see the old hospital now completely empty and feel the weight of so many memories of animals, volunteers and visitors, but the concept of home being where the heart is has been proved. As soon as the animals were shifted, home shifted with them.

We've got our work cut out for us in the next few months tying down all the hatches and getting all the new systems flowing but we are really loving the new place and know it's going to be just beautiful within the next six months.

We hope to have the pleasure of welcoming you to the new shelter in the near future! Thank you so much for your support.

Erika, Jim and Claire
