Hey everyone,

I just watched Michael Vick's public apology for his participating in dog-fighting and read the associated LA Times article online. It's pretty impressive!,0,7608895.story?coll=la-home-center

As much as I despise the utter injustice of a dude like Michael Vick getting paid $130 million to throw a ball around for 3 hours a day, 16 days a year, while people serving society in much more tangible ways are earning a small fraction of his salary, I have to admit that a guy with that kind of cash could really do wonders if he used his money to further the cause of animal rights. If this guy can publicly come out against dog-fighting after the uproar over the last month surrounding his involvement in dog-fighting, imagine if we could get him to go vegan after educating him about the equally horrifying treatment of pigs, chickens and cows for people's palates. What if he got the whole NFL to go vegan??!! This gives me hope. Wouldn't that be awesome if Michael Vick became an animal activist?! Okay, maybe I'm in fantasy-land now, but you get my drift....THIS GUY HAS POTENTIAL AT LEAST!! Take a look at the video and feel free to chime in with your thoughts. Maybe if we send him "Meet Your Meat" he'll come out with another statement...

Also, here are links to 2 articles that point out the "moral schizophrenia" of condemning Michael Vick for dog fighting while continuing to eat other animals (which I found out about thanks to Eric Prescott's
