Come check out the Chicago premier for Princess Kaguya, the latest film from Studio Ghibli cofounder Isao Takahata. We're attending the 7:45pm show on December 5 at the Gene Siskel Film Center. This film has been well-received all over the country, so we hope you'll join us for a night at the movies!

Update 12/4
If you have a ticket: the group will gather in the lobby starting at 7:15pm and grab seats at 7:35pm.

If you do not have a ticket: Tickets are sold out. There's space available for the 6pm English dub tomorrow, but there are no official plans to attend that screening as a group. Others have expressed interest in attending a different showing next week. We'll keep you posted here.

Update 11/30
Seen the film? Join us after the film at State & Lake Tavern for drinks and discussion! This venue is a cash bar with food offerings.

Update 11/23
We will also be watching ISAO TAKAHATA AND HIS TALE OF THE PRINCESS KAGUYA at 5:30pm on December 28. This companion film chronicles the seven-year effort to complete The Tale of the Princess Kaguya. Show your ticket stub or receipt at the box office and this making-of film will only be $4. We don't know how large the theater will be, so grab your tickets early (http://genesiskelfilmcenter.pfestore.com/capacity/events/8c495096-158b-4c94-a5ff-9b083dfcaaab.aspx) if you are worried about a sold-out show.
