Hike to Glendale Peak in GRIFFITH PARK / great views of LA / plus PICNIC Lunch

We will take a scenic hike up to Glendale Peak which has great views of Glendale, Pasadena and the L.A. skyline.....

Glendale Peak is one of the highest peaks in Griffith park with an elevation of about 1,200 feet..........

BRING A SACK LUNCH AND WE WILL HAVE AN OPTIONAL PICNIC LUNCH TOGETHER IN THE PARK UNDER THE COOL SHADE OF THE TREES IN A PICNIC TABLE AREA......

TEMPS SHOULD BE MODERATE IN THE HIGH 70'S BUT IT WILL BE 10 DEGREES COOLER IN THE SHADE OF THE BIG TREES.....

hike is about 4.50 to 5.00 miles round trip (short but fun hike)..........

Hike should take about 2.00 hours.......

HIKE LEVEL: Beginner

Wear good hiking shoes or sturdy walking shoes;

Bring plenty of water or sports drinks.

2nd to LAST HIKE of the summer... next hike will be JUNE 29th then...we will take a hiatus break for JULY & AUGUST due

to the high temperatures......
