With more and more teams implementing methods to trigger commands from within their favorite chat clients, the time it takes to perform specific and repetitive tasks has been dramatically reduced. Providing a real-time command history to others, we can share knowledge and learn from each other faster than ever before.

We'll explore the benefits to implementing ChatOps within your team and how it can decrease the time it takes to deploy code, mitigate infrastructure incidents, and act as a learning tool. Additionally, we'll address to what degree can and should we take this automation? Is there an inherent threat of losing touch with the actual steps that are performed when so much is being handled by automation tools? Are there other concerns with this movement towards deployment, measurement, and mitigation from within a chat client?
