The Austin Vegan Association (AVA) is Austin’s longest-running plant-based community, proudly serving as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit since 1997. Founded as the Vegetarian Network of Austin, later known as the Austin Vegan & Vegetarian Association, today our mission is to make vegan living more accessible through social gatherings, educational events, and support for local vegan-friendly businesses.
AVA is open to anyone interested in compassionate, sustainable lifestyles.

Dinner at Bouldin Creek Cafe
Bouldin Creek Cafe, 1900 South 1st Street, Austin, TX, US🍽️ Join the Austin Vegan Association for dinner at Bouldin Creek Cafe, a South Austin favorite that's been serving scratch-made vegan and vegetarian dishes since 2000!
With a menu full of flavorful options, there's something for everyone. Everything is vegan or can be made vegan! A few favorites include:
🥗 Tofu Broccoli Salad – stir-fried sesame tofu and broccoli over fresh greens
🍛 Massaman Jackfruit Curry – Thai coconut curry with jackfruit, broccoli, and potato over brown rice
🥢 South Austin Stir Fry – rice noodles, wild mushrooms, and vegetables in a teriyaki ginger miso sauce
🔥 Vegan BBQ Plate – smoky tempeh strips with housemade barbecue sauce
🍫 And don't forget dessert! All of Bouldin Creek's desserts are vegan, including their Blueberry Lavender Pie and Chocolate Brownie.

Mission Burger Co. has brought its fully vegan menu to East Austin, and we're excited to check out the new space together. From gourmet burgers and hearty comfort food to creamy shakes and soft serve, there's something for everyone.
A few favorites to look out for:
🍔 Mission Burger – their signature burger
🔥 Smoked Brisket Burger – smoky housemade brisket piled high on a burger
🌯 Crunchwrap – a giant tortilla stuffed with Impossible carne asada, housemade queso, crunchy tostada, guacamole, and fresh toppings
