Job Description:

This position calls for a computer programmer with solid experience in full life cycle software development,

and working as part of a small development team. Daily activities will include design, implementation, integration,

and application support efforts. Our team assists a large government entity in developing web applications which provide for

comprehensive, paperless management of many physical security business processes.

The software also consists of a set of software libraries and components that will act as a central hub,

connecting existing Card Management System, Public Key Infrastructure, and PACS systems.


Key Responsibilities:

On-site design, development, integration and support of application and associated peripherals

Analyze customer needs and provide software solutions as part of a team focused on meeting SAFE goals

Analyze, Test, and resolve issues with application software and associated peripherals.

Support production application.

Analyze and adapt SAFE modules to customer needs.

Create documentation to support software development life cycle to include requirements documents and software design documents.

Work within on-site Subversion version control software for code integrity.


Basic Qualifications:

7 years experience, (Bachelors Degree + 3 years in related field)

Proficiency working with PHP, HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Exposure to UNIX (SSH, scripting languages) a plus.

Exposure to C, C#, VB, .NET a plus.

Experience with developing as part of a team, and using version control systems for code integrity.

High level of written and verbal communications skills.

Ability to communicate effectively with team members and clients both technical and non-technical.

Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn skills necessary for project completion.
