The 11th and 12th Annual Transbay Skronkathon BBQ will occur on
Saturday August 25 at the Berkeley Arts Festival Gallery, 2133
University Avenue in Berkeley. It's been a long time since our
10th outing, but we've determined that it's perfectly legal to
combine the 11th and 12th Skronkathons to catch up.

The Skronkathon is an all-day marathon of creative music and BBQ.
There'll be performances all day inside the gallery and hot grills &
cold drinks out on the street. We don't charge admission, so we
have no budget to pay anybody. It's more like a party than a gig.
(We do take donations for the benefit of the Transbay Creative Music
Calendar <http://transbayca...;)

As always, we're interested in challenging music of all kinds. We really
mean all kinds, not just the improvised skronking we all know, love and
expect to hear at the Skronkathon. What better place to workshop your
opera or debut the Eric Dolphy Memorial Ukulele Orchestra?

If you are interested in performing please please send a proposal to
[address removed], including the following information:

   + group and performers names
   + contact email
+ a short (20-30 words?) description of what you do for our press packet
+ range of preferred start times between, say 1:00 PM and 9:00 PM.

Note: the Berkeley Arts Festival Gallery has a very nice grand piano.

We try to fit a lot of performers into not much time, so count on
playing for about 30 min. For the same reason please don't propose
playing in more than one group.

Although there is a PA, there will be minimal setup time, so please
keep in mind sound check will be "on the fly". It is a small space --
"unplugged" is an option to seriously consider...

Once we get an idea of the submissions, we'll try to put together a
logical schedule...

                     Thanks for your interest,

                      Tom Duff <[address removed]>

Tom Duff. We don't have a history of doing large acquisitions.
