This is our traditional hacknight with a bit of a twist. With the growing realm of NYC transit and transportation data, every month we dedicate one hacknight a month to transit, transportation, #BikeNYC, and @CitibikeNYC data.

What is a hacknight?
This night is for technologists, designers, developers, and mapmakers who are working on projects. Consider this to be a bit of a study hall. Bring your projects, apps, datasets, and questions, and we will try to collectively answer them.

BetaNYC is committed to hosting safe and open events for all. By attending this event you are committing yourself to BetaNYC's Code of Conduct and Anti-Harassment Policy (https://github.com/BetaNYC/What-is-BetaNYC/blob/master/Code-of-Conduct.md).

Lighting talks:
At every hacknight, we feature three lighting talks. These are in-depth 3 to 5 min long presentations that dive into projects YOU are working on.

Kevin McCaffrey and Ivan Khilko from the New York City Economic Development Corporation will share analysis and visualizations of the MTA's subway turnstile data.

BetaNYC Organizer Chris Whong will share the technology and methodology behind building NYC Taxis: A Day in the Life

Khurshid N. Fayzullaev of the MTA will share a new mobile app that will soon be part of BusTime.

To present, email cwhong@codeforamerica.org
