NYC's 2012 LGBT Pride March & PrideFest

Calling all Bisexual, Fluid, Pansexual, Bi-curious, Hetro/Homo-flexible, SGL (Same Gender Loving), Queer, Questioning, Transgender, Genderqueer, Poly and just plain old Bi-friendly Gay, Lesbian & "Straight-But-Not-Narrow" folks who live, work or play in NYC. This year don't get left standing on the sidelines. Instead, please come and join us in the Bisexual/Fluid/Pansexual Contingent in New York City's 43rd Annual LGBT Pride Parade on Sunday June 24th 2012 and be part of all the fun and excitement.

Not that much of a groups person? Not sure who to march with? The New York Area Bisexual Network (NYABN) welcomes EVERYONE regardless of class, caste, religion, ethnicity, gender-identity, sexual orientation, dis/ability, age, income, education, job (or lack thereof), etc., etc., etc.

The bisexual contingent has been assigned to line up for the March at 40th Street between Madison and Park Avenue (but closer to Park) at 11 am on Sunday.

Bring your neighbors, bring your friends, bring your classmates, bring your pals from the office, bring your spouse, bring your family, bring the kids, bring your dog (really! it's a great walk for them), bring that cute person you just met last night (*wink*), bring your own group's banner, bring your own sign or just bring you own beautiful self!

New to NY? Never marched before? Feeling a little shy? Please contact us by e-mail at info (at) nyabn (dot) org or by phone at [masked] and we'll make sure someone's will be there to meet and greet you.

Afterward lets hang out and get to know each other, make plans for some future fun Meetups and Parties or to get more involved in your local Bi Pride Groups. Lets rest our feet, grab a bite to eat, then go explore PrideFest, watch the (lavender!) fireworks over the Hudson and maybe even go to the Dance on the Pier.

So hope to see YOU there this Sunday come Rain or Shine!

I always have a great time marching, but this year was extra extra special to me. I Niece Ellen and her friend Kina came from Washington state to march with me. Thank you everyone that came out this year and marched. And thank you Estraven for being co group leader.

That's hard to answer. At Section Leader's training they said they city is now trying to keep all Parades down to 4 hours, so try to not leave any gaps between our group and the group ahead, and walk fast. It ends when we get to the end of the March route, which is a little hard to predict.

One of the best places to jump in is 25 St and 5th Ave, near the reviewing stand on the East side of 5th Ave. There is a park there, with benches out on the sidewalk and there are always port-a potties there for the March. You can watch the parade go by, until the bi group comes.

It can be a long walk (from Bryant Park down to the West Village) BUT some people jump in along the way so it isn't too much for them
