Bitcoin Special Lecture - Fungibility, Privacy & Identity

Details
Agenda:
19:30-20:00 - Gathering and refreshments
20:00-21:00 - Fungibility, Privacy & Identity (Adam Back)
21:00-22:00 - Free discussion
Bitcoin gets its transaction cost advantage vs credit cards from its cash-like poperties: irrevocable, immediate final settlement. Traditional crypto ecash schemes like Chaum & Brands, and in decentralized settings the Sander & Ta Shma/zerocoin/zerocash protocols provide cryptogaphic fungibility based on blinding and ZKP set membership/SNARKs respectively.
This talk aims to explore the implications of non-cryptographic fungibility, privacy limitations, work-arounds, and how identity can be optionally included without affecting the p2p nature that gives bitcoin its global permissionless innovation and network effect.
The talk will be given in English, by our special guest, Adam Back - Inventor of Hashcash, which pioneered the concept of computational proof of work used by Bitcoin.
We would like to start the lecture at 20:00 sharp, so please make an effort to arrive on time, taking traffic into account. From 19:30 you'll have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments and socialize.
Parking is recommended at the nearby Azrieli Center (7 minutes walk, about 12 NIS for the entire night).
