Details
Agenda:
19:00-19:30 - Gathering and refreshments
19:30-20:30 - Introduction to Bitcoin Transactions, Script and smart contracts (Shaul Kfir)
20:30-22:00 - Free discussion
Most of us use bitcoin transactions already. Still, we don't always understand how a transaction actually works and what are some of the more advanced features Satoshi invented.
In the talk we will give a beginners' introduction to Bitcoin script, as well as hands on examples of how transactions are created.
We will construct and send a regular transaction as well as a multisig transaction and explain what data is being used and sent to the bitcoin network. We'll give examples as to how these constructions can be used to construct smart contracts such as micro-payment channels. The talk will be introductory level and assumes only basic familiarity with concepts such as bitcoin addresses, private/public keys and hashes.
The lecture will be given in Hebrew.
We would like to start the lecture at 19:30 sharp, so please make an effort to arrive on time, taking traffic into account. From 19:00 you'll have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments and socialize.
As always, the talk will be recorded for those of us who can't attend.
Parking is recommended at the nearby Azrieli Center (7 minutes walk, about 12 NIS for the entire night).
