Details
Agenda:

19:00-20:15 - Bitcoin transactions (Haddar Macdasi)
20:15-20:20 - The trip to Poland
20:20-21:30 - Free discussion
Transactions are the most important part of the Bitcoin system. Everything else in Bitcoin is designed to ensure that transactions can be created, propagated on the network, validated, and finally added to the global ledger of transactions (the blockchain).
If you want a deeper understanding of transactions, what are they, how they work and why, this lecture is for you. We will explain in details about the structure of Bitcoin transactions, why they are built that way, the different types of Bitcoin transactions and their life-cycle.
We will take a look at the mechanism that enables Bitcoin value to move from hand to hand and understand the security that is derived from it.
This lecture is only to explain transactions but inevitably will provide you with the basic knowledge some of the different parts in the Bitcoin technology (address, public/private key, blocks and more..).
The talk will be technical, but does not assume prior knowledge about the inner workings of the Bitcoin protocol, and thus appropriate also for newcomers.
The talk will be given in Hebrew.
We would like to start the lecture at 19:00 sharp, so please make an effort to arrive on time, taking traffic into account. From 18:30 you'll have the opportunity to enjoy refreshments and socialize.
As always, the talk will be recorded for those of us who can't attend.
Parking is recommended at the nearby Azrieli Center.
