JavaScript Meetup February

Details
RSVPs closed.
Just before the mloc.js JavaScript conference (http://mloc-js.com/) in Budapest, we invite everyone to join us at a special meetup event.
- Julien Richard-Foy (Zenexity): Web programming in Scala using js-scala (https://github.com/js-scala/js-scala)
Writing and maintaining JavaScript code is a tedious work, hence the emergence of numerous languages compiling to JavaScript, giving developers convenient features like type-safety, ad-hoc polymorphism or modules. The js-scala project explores the definition of JavaScript as an embedded DSL in Scala, aiming to bring Scala’s expressivity and type-safety to the client-side code. This talk will present several abstractions for Web programming, built on top of js-scala, such as a template engine usable on both server and client sides, and a functional reactive programming library generating efficient JavaScript
code.
-
Roland Schütz: Bancha - The new Rapid Prototyping for ExtJS banchaproject.org (http://banchaproject.org/) (lightning talk)
-
Márton Salomváry (SoundCloud): JavaScript at SoundCloud
What tools and libraries we use, how we write JavaScript and how we integrate with the SoundCloud infrastructure.
- Go out for some drinks to Kirakat (https://www.facebook.com/akirakat)
Even if you miss the talks, join us at Kazinczy street 3.
This time RSVP is mandatory in order to be allowed to the event.
