Gas Works Park to Mill Creek - Frost Donuts - and return (Brisk 45mi)

Details

If you know what a "cronut" is, then this is your chance to taste a Pacific Northwest version of the New York City-created-craze: a cross between donut and croissant: http://www.nytimes.com/interactive/2013/06/12/dining/from_croissant_to_cronut.html
This will be a 45 mile fast brisk ride with 2600' of total elevation gain. We'll start at Gas Works Park, ride at a brisk pace north including portions of the Interurban Trail (15mph speed limit on the dedicated paths), 18mph on the flats, slower on the hills, and stop at Frost Donuts in Mill Creek for coffee and "Fronuts", a flaky donut creation similar to the NYC original. Then we'll return to Gas Works via a slightly different path, heading up the Perkins Way hill to burn off the pastry.
Meet at 0930: rolling by 0940. Regroup at the top of the big hills, and stay together on the trail portions of the route. Steady rain will cancel the ride. Bring a spare tube, just in case, and fenders are always appreciated this time of year.
