Vashon Island Bike Quest (12-14)

Who hasn't heard about the famous bicycle stuck in the tree on Vashon Island? Is it still there stuck in that tree? Or did vandals destroy the bike? I did a ride in August 2009 and had the pleasure of seeing that bike in the tree. So I’m on a quest this Sunday. I’m going to Vashon to visit the tree and I hope I will find that bike still stuck in that tree. If you would like to join me on this adventure meet me at the Point Defiance parking lot (http://home.comcast.net/~krezes/pointdefiance2.png) on the right as you drive towards the water. We will take the 10:05 am ferry to Vashon. Please arrive early enough (9:30 in the parking lot) to get your bike ready, sign the waiver, review the SMART riding, and purchase your ferry ticket. After we check out the bike and tree we’ll ride into town and stop at Café Luna for coffee then continue our ride around the island and back to Tahlequah where we’ll catch the ferry back to Point Defiance. I was there in 2009, so a true adventure this Sunday! Tree, bike, and ride around Vashon! Join me!
