Three Lakes Tour

Details
Added 3/27 - This is a hilly ride. The pace with be brisk (16-18mph) on the flats (of which there aren't many).
Heading out from the Machias Centennial Trail parking lot we will ride scenic, mostly lightly traveled, country roads. We'll warm up on a climb toward the 3 Lakes area east of Snohomish, then tackle several miles of rollers. That gets us to the halfway point. From there, an assortment of climbs of various lengths and grades will take us back to the start. This will be a no-drop ride. Climbs will be at your own pace, but we will regroup at the tops of all hills. Overall distance is 27 miles, with 2300' of climbing.
We will ride in anything but heavy rain. There are several bailout points along the route in case we get caught out in unexpected weather.
You should be able to sustain the noted pace, read a cue sheet, change a flat (and have the requisite equipment), and have a positive attitude! If you would like a cue sheet, please print your own from the course link.
There is no pre-planned rest stop as this is a short ride so bring a snack to munch during a regroup.
There are restrooms and water (fountain) available at the start.
Although this is an afternoon ride, for safety you are highly encouraged to have a working taillight. Please have fenders if the weather looks sketchy or the roads are wet.
