Mt. Vernon to La Conner Tulip Ride Loop (Moderate Pace)

Details

Update on April 12. The route has been shortened to 26 miles based on the tulip blooming schedule and map at tulips.com, we should have some spectacular flower viewing! Come check out the Tulip Festival via bike. A scenic area ride starting at Edgewater Park in Mt. Vernon, looping around the interest points where flower fields are advertised to be. We may slow down to a steady pace while riding along side the flower fields and can stop a few times for photo opportunities but stops will be kept brief in the interest of keeping the group on the bike more than off the bike. We have a planned stop in La Conner at La Crema Coffee, money for snacks and beverages is recommended or bring your water bottles to refill and snacks to fuel up. We will finish with a short ride along the Skagit River before ending back at Edgewater Park. There are restrooms at the start and carpooling to the park in Mt. Vernon is encouraged to keep car presence in the lots small. We will meet at the north end parking lot by Ball St, park at that lot or continue down the park road and use the lot at the end of the road.

There will be an optional post ride gathering at a salmon barbeque to support the local Kiwanis. Cost ranges up to $12 for the full meal and there are a la carte and vegetarian options available for less. Please bring cash for that if you plan to attend. The address for that is 1717 S 13th St, Mt Vernon, WA 98274.

Please have the necessary tools and items to repair or replace a flat tube.
