Come join us for the Mid-week Eastside Evening Training Series - Daylight Ride!
Midweek Eastside Evening Training Series Daylight – The MEETS rides are held Wednesday evenings at 6 pm. These training rides incorporate local hills and range between 20-30 miles and from ~1200 to 2500 feet of elevation. Paces offered include Moderate, Brisk, and Strenuous. All use a common course each week. The series runs from April - August. These rides are intended to compliment your weekend training program. Riders can choose to attend as many as they like and attendance at all is not required.
Ride leaders for this week are:
Strenuous: None
Brisk – James Coliz
Moderate – Rob Latino
Ride Director this week: James Coliz
This week's route: Medina Forbes Creek (http://ridewithgps.com/routes/5467866). 28 miles, 1700ft. Please print a cue sheet (http://files.meetup.com/3386582/SBPR_Medina_Forbes_Creek.pdf).
MENTORING OPPORTUNITIES - Email the Ride Director to inquire.
Riders should be able to sustain the appropriate pace for their selected group, read a cue sheet, change a flat (and have the requisite equipment), and have a positive attitude! Cue sheets will be available online the Monday before each ride so please print your own if you would like one.
Rest stops: There are no planned rest stops as these are short rides. There is a restroom within close riding distance of the park and ride, but we encourage you to use facilities before you arrive to ensure we roll out timely.
Regroup policy: This is a training series, so we ride with the best interest of the group in mind. Riders may need to fall back to a slower pace group, unless you are riding in the last group, in which case the group will regroup as needed to avoid dropping riders. We want everyone to ride hard and have fun and there are multiple pace options to support all riders so no one should feel left behind. Please make sure that you print a cue sheet in case you want to ride ahead or get separated for some reason. Please make sure to print your contact information clearly on the waiver so that we can reach you as necessary
Please RSVP and check back for updates the day of the ride. RSVP is not required, but would be MUCH appreciated.
FOR RAINY CONDITIONS, FENDERS REQUESTED. For the comfort of your fellow riders, we request that riders come with long fenders in case the roads are wet. If you do not have fenders and conditions require them, you will be asked to ride in the back of the group.
