International Day of Friendship Ride - Redmond (4 paces offered)

Details
“On this international day of friendship, let us cultivate warm ties that strengthen our common humanity and promote the well-being of the human family” – United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon.
So, let’s go for a ride (four paces offered)! You are highly encouraged to bring a friend and wear the colors that represent your country and/or your culture!
A special (free) memento will be available for the first many riders. It reflects the desire to promote friendships between people and cultures through cycling.
Route:
Starting at the Bear Creek Park & Ride in Redmond, we will head north into rural Snohomish County and stop at Maltby Park at MP 12.5. Make a loop up north and then head south, through Woodinville and hopefully have spent enough calories to enjoy the French Bakery at MP 28.8. We pick up the Sammamish River trail for a bit and then go east through neighborhoods and horse loving country. Finally we ride back to the Park & Ride via Union Hill Rd. This route has plenty of options available to cut it short if needed.
Distance and elevation: 47.5 miles - 2500ft elevation Terrain: Rolling hills

Moderate: Dorothé Reijnders & Matt Wong
Brisk: Alexa Volwiler & Frieder Mack
Strenuous: Alan Tagstrom
Expectations:
S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish/King County and be safe! Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. We regroup on top of hills, but riders should be able to maintain the chosen pace. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by looking out for each other, having a positive attitude, not trash-talking others, having fenders when the roads are wet (please), enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain will cancel the ride.
