Details

Getting to the Lowell Riverfront Trailhead:

I-5 exit 192/41st St in Everett, turn east, right at S 3rd Ave (becomes S 2nd Ave), after 1.2 miles turn left at the stop sign onto Lenora St, pass the railroad tracks and the Lowell Riverfront Trailhead will be on your left. We will meet on the south end.

The route: 58.8 miles - 2724 feet elevation

If you want it all, you'll get your wish during this ride! We warm up our legs on a nice flat road along the Snohomish River. We pass through picturesque Snohomish, jump on the Centennial Trail for a little bit to enjoy a view of Mt Baker and then start our first climb. We stop in Lake Stevens at MP 19.8 where there is a variety of food for purchase available. Our yummy treats get a chance to digest while we gradually gain elevation on beautiful rural roads. After a fun descend we shortly stop at Lake Roesiger Park, right at the lake (MP 35.9 - bathrooms available) . For this front row seat the price to pay is a short gravel path. One more incline and then we have a gorgeous open view of the Snohomish Valley. We return to the Lowell Riverfront Trailhead via Three Lakes and Lowell-Larimer Road for a pleasant cool down.

Expectations:

S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish County and be safe! Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. We regroup on top of hills, but riders should be able to maintain the posted pace. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by looking out for each other, having a positive attitude, not trash-talking others, having fenders when the roads are wet (please), enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain cancels the ride.
