Come to Pierce County, join us for a scenic and popular ride seeing some of the great views the Tacoma area has to offer.
NOTE:
3 paces are offered -
Brisk: Tim Johnson
Moderate: Rick Urton
Steady: Susan Krezelak
Bring your camera - Some of the sights you'll see: Foss Waterway, Commencement Bay, Ferry Boats, Puget Sound, Historic Stadium High School, The Narrows Bridge, Cheney Stadium, The Tacoma Dome, Mt Rainier ... and just to throw a little grit into it, the Port of Tacoma industrial area.
We will leave the Sumner Fred Meyer (east side of parking lot, next to garden center), ride over to Ruston Way for some great views of commencement bay, up past Pt Defiance Zoo and then over the Tacoma Narrows Bridge (via protected bike/pedestrian lane) to Gig Harbor. We will return using the Scott Pierson Trail. Barring rain and clouds we will have some spectacular views.
