A nice ride through the Snohomish Valley (Moderate)

Details

Come and join us for a nice rural route through the Snohomish Valley. It's rather flat, but it's pretty. This will be the first mentored ride for Michael Cunanan!

We will start at the Lowell Riverfront Trailhead. If you haven't been there before, please follow the directions listed below as Google might take you to the wrong place.

We will head out towards Snohomish, pedal though that cute little town, pick up the Centennial trail and stop at the Machias Trailhead Park (MP 12). Then we will gain some elevation in the back country, and return through Snohomish and finish the ride on the flats of the Snohomish Valley.

Distance: 36.5 miles

Elevation: 1057 ft

Map and Cue sheet: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/5862820

Expectations:

S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community in Snohomish County and be safe! Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical; the group might not wait. We regroup occasionally, but riders should be able to maintain the posted pace. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by looking out for each other, having a positive attitude, not trash-talking others, having fenders when the roads are wet (please), enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain cancels the ride.
