Ride to the Grand Opening of the Cascade Bicycle Ctr from Sno-County (Mod) 9AM!

Let's celebrate!

The new Cascade Bicycle Center in Magnuson Park has its Grand Opening today! What better way to celebrate, than to have many cyclists join the festivities by converging from different parts of the greater Seattle area at the new Cascade Bicycle Center by bike!

We will meet at the north parking lot at the Lynnwood Transit Center (closest to the Ride Store). The route heads south to pick up the Burke Gillman Trail for about 6 miles. We'll be present at the opening and then spend time at the new Cascade Bicycle Center to take a tour, meet other riders and staff, and enjoy some light snacks. On the way back we will avoid the trail and meander through Seattle heading west to Edmonds for a stop at Walnut Street Coffee and finalize the ride by riding along the waterfront and pretty Olympic View Dr.

Expectations:

S.M.A.R.T. riding is the standard and all riders are held accountable for doing their best to adhere to these; we want to be awesome representatives of the bike community and be safe! Riders have to be independent when they have a flat and/or mechanical. We regroup occasionally, but riders should be able to maintain the posted pace. Please print a cue sheet in case you get separated from the group. All riders are responsible to promote a great experience by looking out for each other, having a positive attitude, not trash-talking others, having fenders when the roads are wet or rain is in the forecast, enjoying the beauty we are surrounded by and just by having fun! Steady rain cancels the ride.
