This is a fitness ride on some of the steeper hills of Seattle. Please be able to keep the advertised pace on flats and be sure you are fit enough to do a hill climbing ride. There will be regroups as needed at traffic lights and within reason at the top of hills but in the interest of the whole group we will not wait for riders that are noticeably slower than the majority of the group. Riders going excessively slower or faster than the majority of the group will be self guided, please print a cue sheet from the route map provided if you think you will need it.

Please show up 10-15 minutes early to sign the safety waiver and hear the safety briefing. I will be waiting behind the bus stop on the south side of 65th St in the P&R. There are no restrooms at the start so please plan accordingly. Bring what you need to be able to fix your own flats and other minor mechanical failures. Rain will cancel or shorten the ride depending on severity.

The route is 26 miles with almost 2000 feet of elevation gain. Restroom stops are available at approximately miles 9 and 18 of the route otherwise there are no planned stops on the route. Bring a lock to secure your bike if you would like to stick around for a post ride social gathering and get to know your fellow cyclists.
