Bainbridge Island New Year's Ride - Brisk/Vigo­rous 33 miles

Come join us for a fun New Year's ride on Bainbridge Island. This is the Chilly Hilly route, so be prepared for some climbing, nice island views, and minimal traffic.

We will meet in the bicycle holding area for the 9:35 AM ferry to Bainbridge Island. Make sure to arrive early enough to purchase tickets and get in line ahead of car traffic. We will do the safety briefing on the ferry. You must hear the safety breifing and sign the liability waiver in order to ride.

The weather is supposed to be nice, but roads may be damp. Long fenders are required for this ride. Helmets required as well as appropriate attire for the season.

Food on the island will be limited, so please make sure to fill water bottles ahead of time and bring snacks for the road. We will do a post-ride meetup at Docs Marina Grill (http://www.docsgrill.com/menu/) before heading back to Seattle.

We will do a short restroom break at mp 14.4, Battle Point Park.

This is a BRISK ride. Riders should be able to sustain the appropriate pace or ride independently. Please come with the skills and equipment to change a flat, because the group does not stop for mechanicals. We appreciate you printing contact information clearly on the waiver so that we can reach you in case you become separated.

Cancellation Policy: Showers will cancel this ride. Ride leader will not be at the ride start in the event of pending showers. We will announce the cancellation in the comments section below two hours prior to the ride start and will monitor email and phone.
