Ride with the Cascade Board - Moderate, 32 miles

Join us for a ride with members of the Cascade Board. This ride is a fun ride - meant as an opportunity for riders to join us for the activity we love the most - cycling!

We will do these rides quarterly (as interest permits) with varying start locations and paces.

This quarter's ride will start from Log Boom Park (parking lot for sign in), do a little hill climb over to Edmonds for a cup of coffee then return via a very scenic route along Woodway/North Seattle, before stopping by Cascade Bike Club for a beverage followed by a flat stretch of 9 miles on the Burke Gilman trail back to the start location.

All riders are welcome to join, but should be able to sustain a 14-16 mph pace on flats and be comfortable on hills in order to be content with the difficulty of the ride. Minors are only allowed with advance permission.

We will ride as a group and regroup at the tops of hills but we will not wait for mechanical issues or flats. Please ensure your bike is in good working order before joining and come prepared with the requisite tools/knowledge to fix flats/minor mechanicals. Spare tube/tire irons/pump or CO2/allen tools are recommended.

Helmets are required. No exceptions. Fenders are also required if the roads are wet or there is any chance of rain.

Showers at the ride start will cancel.

Please arrive 20 minutes early in order to sign the liabilty release and hear the safety briefing.

There are bathrooms at the start as well as at mp 13 and 26.
